Hi Share Club Members, I hope you have had a wonderful summer and eager to get back to the Ellen Degenerates Share Club meetings.   The first meeting will be on MONDAY, SEPT 24 instead of Tues due to the Jewish New Year holiday.   In October we will get back to our normal meeting date which is the 3rd Tuesday of each month.   We have had a number of inquiries to our request for Volunteers for the Co-Chair and Treasurer positions and are very pleased to announce your new committee.   Co-Chairs:    Luke Zhang                            Gord Kumagai   Treasurer:    Shirley Hall   Good luck to all.   I hope to be able to attend some meetings and contribute as a member of the share club.    Look forward to seeing everyone on Monday Sept 24.   Mary Renner-Dray Co-Chair

Ryerson University Continuing Education Financial Workshop on June 19, 2012

Ellen is doing a free seminar at the Ryerson University on Financial Basics on June 19, 2012. If you have any friends or family members who would want to work on budgeting skills, learn how to track spending, understand how credit products are marketed, manage debt, compare different saving and investing options, choose a financial adviser, and avoid common financial frauds, feel free to attend this workshop. You of course will be attending to our pizza party at the same night :)

As of March 27, 2012: Lululemon (TSE:LLL): +20% Starbucks: (NASDAQ:SBUX): +16.28% Saputo: (TSE:SAP): +11.61% We reviewed Constellation Software (TSE:CSU) and Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM) respectively as we discussed how the Technology sector fits into the sector rotation and stock market trends. We also looked at cyclical buying opportunities based the book “Seasonal Market Trends”  During our round table stock review,  Inter Pipeline Fund (TSE:IPL.UN) was recommended.
