He has a platform that applies his investing approach to more than 6,000 stocks every day and shows you the best stocks to invest in and which ones to avoid. 4. Here are the 10 rules he uses to filter out the best quality stocks that are also priced at a low level. To geta 10 out of 10 grade on his Simply Investing platform, a stock must pass the following 10 criteria: Company must have EPS (earnings per share) growth of 8% or more The EPS must have increased at least 8 times in the last 20 years Company must have dividend growth of 8% or more The payout ratio must be 75% or less Company debt must be 70% or less Avoid

Tom Loftus, also a member of the Ottawa Share Club club, will describe how the members manage their Fantasy Pre-Retirement and Retirement investing Portfolios since 2016. Ellen's Investment Club  (Toronto Central Investment Share Club) Regular Session Tuesday, February 20, 2024, 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. By videoconference 1. Member introduction 2. Approve Agenda 3. Ellen Roseman will do a presentation about the Beat the TSX (BTSX) strategy. It’s similar to the Dogs of the Dow stock picking strategy devoted to selecting the highest paying dividend stocks in the Dow Jones Industrial Average. How does the BTSX approach work? Find the TSX 60 Index and sort by dividend yield. Select the top 10 yielding stocks of that index provided they have a history of consistent dividend payments. Usually these will be “TURF” stocks (T = telecoms, U = utilities, R = REITs, and F = financials). Avoid companies with any recent dividend cuts, stopping their dividends, etc. Purchase your 10 stocks in equal parts and hold each stock for one year. At this point, your top 10 list is reconstituted and repeated the following year. Repeat annually. Here is the current list of BTSX st
